We’re the Private Event Sales Team at The Oregon Golf Club.
Why do you work with nonprofit events?
We love supporting nonprofits, knowing we are contributing to their success. It is very rewarding when they are able to raise money for their important causes.
What inspires you about a good event?
Knowing that each fundraising event is bringing funds and awareness to help to those who need it most.
What is your favorite moment at an event?
Watching everyone sitting at their tables, eating, drinking, chatting and having a great time with smiles on their faces.
What brings you the most joy in your work?
Watching an event come to life after months of planning and happy guests!
What is the one piece of wisdom you would give to a development team working on their big event?
Choose one person to be the main contact to your venue. It helps us immensely when we have the majority of contact (emails/phone calls) come from one source. That way there is little chance for miscommunication.
And we have to add, if you’re looking to cut costs, don’t skimp on your AV! It’s so important to any program.
